Lorne Sulsky, PhD, is a Full Professor of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour at Memorial University. He obtained his PhD in 1988, and has previously held academic appointments at four other universities. He has consulted widely with international organizations in the broad area of Human Resource Management and he previously served as the Director of Human Resource Management for a non-profit agency, and worked as a statistical analyst for Frito Lay Inc. Lorne has published and presented numerous papers in the area of Performance Management and is the co-author of the Sulsky and Smith 2005 text entitled “Work Stress” (Thomson Wadsworth Publishers). He is past editor of the Canadian Journal of Behavioural Science, one of three journals published by the Canadian Psychological Association. Currently, he serves on the Editorial Boards of 4 academic journals including top journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology where he is a Consulting Editor. Lorne is a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association and Past-President of the Canadian Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He has also been ranked as the 150th most cited scholar in Industrial-Organizational Psychology textbooks among over 8,500 scholars with at least a single citation (Industrial and Organizational Psychology,10(4), pp 507–557 December 2017).
